The Language of Song
The human voice was special to music theorists in the medieval West, as they believed it was the only instrument created by God. This program explores the wide range of medieval vocal music, including the chants of Hildegard, the lyric songs of Machaut and the troubadours, & sacred and secular polyphony alike.
Fractio Modi is delighted to present this concert as part of the 4mbs Festival of Classics.
